Image below: Alfred Turner on his trip out of China at the end of his Yangtse
service. Due to the Japanese invasion he was required to leave Chungking
by truck along the Burma Trail to Dong Dang (Vietnam), then by train to
Haiphong (coast of Vietnam), then by boat to Hong Kong and finally home.
